These policies replace all prior versions. Continued enrollment after this date constitutes acceptance.
These Enrollment Policies apply to all students of Knoxville Academy of Music (KAM). Enrollment in KAM lessons constitutes acceptance of these policies. Full Terms and Conditions are provided during enrollment.
Absence, rescheduling, and makeup options are outlined in the Enrollment Agreement. Student-initiated absences are not refundable. If KAM cancels a lesson, a credit or rescheduled lesson will be provided.
Recital and group event participation is optional unless otherwise stated. Fees may apply.
Lessons may be recorded for educational and administrative purposes. Group recitals may be photographed or recorded for Academy use. Families may opt out of promotional use by notifying KAM in writing.
Students (or parents/guardians for minors) acknowledge the normal risks associated with music instruction and events. Families release KAM from liability for ordinary accidents, but not for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Enrollment continues month-to-month until written cancellation is received. Tuition during the notice period remains due. Full cancellation procedures are detailed in the Enrollment Agreement.
Families may not hire or solicit KAM instructors outside Academy programs during enrollment and for 12 months after withdrawal.
Students must arrive on time, prepared, and respectful. Parents/guardians are responsible for safe drop-off and pick-up. The full Student & Parent Code of Conduct below is incorporated into these policies by reference.
KAM observes holidays and closures as published on the Academy calendar. In cases of severe weather or emergencies, lessons may shift online or be rescheduled.
KAM is not liable for cancellations caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including weather, natural disasters, or government orders.
Any legal actions must be brought in Knox County, Tennessee, under Tennessee law.
Policies may be updated with notice. Continued enrollment or participation constitutes acceptance of updates.
